Pet Policy

We are pleased to offer Cabins #8 & #10 as dog friendly units for dogs under 30 lbs. There is a $35 charge per dog.

We love your pets as much as you do, however we are unable to accommodate them in our other Cabins. This is to ensure our future guests with allergies can enjoy their stay as much as you will.

Please bring sheets to cover furniture.  In consideration of all our guests, no dogs will be allowed at or near the beach and playground area while in use by others.  If your dog tends to bark, growl, howl, whine, act aggressive, dig etc we kindly ask you make other arrangements for them outside of Betula Lake Resort. Dogs are not allowed to be kept in your vehicle while staying at Betula Lake Resort. Dogs must not be tied to trees anywhere on the resort property to dig, bark or frighten passers-by. Cabins must be left FREE of dog hair. This includes furniture, carpets, and bed linens, screen porches and outdoor living spaces. Charges will apply if there is any damage.  Please be considerate to your resort neighbors when bringing your dog.

  • Pets must be kept with owners, on a leash, at all times
  • Dogs cannot be left in cottages unattended under any circumstances
  • You will be asked to vacuum all hair before you check-out. We have vacuums in the Cottages.

Reservation Policy

A deposit of 50% of the rental cost is required at the time of booking (before taxes). We accept Visa, MasterCard, certified cheque, e-transfers, money orders and cash, credit cards will be charged a 2.4% fee. No personal cheques will be accepted. Rates are subject to GST and PST. Reservations are confirmed when we receive your deposit.

If you are checking into your cabin after store hours please call the resort the day of checkin in order to make arrangements.

Cancellation Policy

If the booking was made on betulalake.ca

Your deposit less a $100.00 administration fee will be refunded if cancellation is received 30 days prior to arrival date. If cancellation is received after this time, your deposit will be forfeited unless we are able to rebook the cabin. If we are able to rebook, we will honor your deposit for a future stay (absolutely no refunds given) minus the $100.00 administration fee.

There are no refunds for days lost due to your late arrival or early departure.

No shows will be charged full rental price with no refund issued.

All cabins include:

– Screened in gazebo and deck – except cabin #11 which has a large deck.

– 4 rolls of toilet paper – Hand and dish soap – One set of bedding for each bed, does not include futons or sofa beds

– The use of our canoes and kayaks and life jackets

– Up to 3 free 4 L jugs of water for your consumption. (El: 1 jug for a 2 or 3 day stay, 2 jugs for a 4 or 5 day stay and 3 jugs for a 6 or 7 day stay. You may purchase more in the store or bring your own

– Coffee maker and filters

Note: Rates include light housekeeping therefore daily maid service is not provided. We ask that you leave the cabins in the same state as your day of Arrival.

Smoking / Vaping Policy

There is no smoking allowed in our cabins at Betula Lake Resort. Guests are allowed to smoke inside the screened gazebo. Accommodations that have been smoked in, or smell of smoke will incur a minimum fine of $200.

Visitor Policy

Guests may have visitors between 11:00 am and 9:00 p.m. Guests are limited to four people at a time. We ask that they report to the Store and park in our “designated visitor” area, not at the cabins. This is to keep traffic flow to a minimum and help ensure the safety of all our guests. We have limited waste disposal capacity and in order to not disrupt our guests during their stay any more than necessary, we ask that friends and family staying in the campground NOT use the Resort facilities (i.e., washrooms/showers). Visitors are also prohibited from bringing their pets onto the resort property. We apologize but tents are not allowed in the cabin area.

Room Key Policy

Any key that is not returned to the Main Office after
check out will incur a $50 lost key charge.

Late Checkout Policy

Check out is at 11:00 am on the day of your departure. If
guests stay in their accommodations later than 11:00
am, a late checkout fee of $35 will be added. If guest’s
request a Late Checkout, it is no later than 1:00 pm.

Late check out is not always available.

Respect Policy

If any of our staff members are subjected to disrespect or inappropriate behavior, we have a zero-tolerance policy. We will kindly request that you leave the resort immediately, and please note that no refund or compensation will be provided in such cases. We strive to maintain a safe and respectful environment for both our guests and staff members, and we appreciate your understanding and cooperation in upholding these standards. In cases where disrespectful or inappropriate behavior escalates, we will not hesitate to involve the authorities and enforce our policies to ensure the safety and well-being of our staff and guests. We take such matters seriously and will take swift action to address any unacceptable behavior. Our primary focus is to provide a positive and enjoyable experience for everyone, and we appreciate your cooperation in maintaining a respectful atmosphere at all times. By making a booking at Betula Lake Resort and accepting these policies, you acknowledge and agree to abide by the terms and conditions set forth. This includes adhering to our code of conduct, treating our staff and other guests with respect, and understanding the consequences outlined in our policy for any violations. We appreciate your cooperation in creating a pleasant and harmonious environment for everyone at our resort.

Littering Policy

If any guest or group creates excessive littering during their stay, or simply chooses not to throw out their trash, a fine of $75 will be incurred.

Age Policy

Guests must be at least 18 years of age to book an overnight accommodation at Betula Lake Resort. Individuals younger than 16 years of age are not permitted to stay in an accommodation without adult supervision.

Noise Policy

Quiet time in our accommodations area is 11:00 pm. A fine of $100 will be incurred if excessive noise or complaints occur after 11:00pm in the areas of our accommodations. Betula Lake Resort reserves the right to request any person or group of people acting unruly and contrary to rental regulations to leave the premises. Assistance from law enforcement agencies may be acquired if this request is not met immediately.
